Losses
editThere seems some difficulty in finding figures for damage in the action. I have:
The times 41151 26 april reports 4 deaths on shore, 2 cruisers and a destroyer damaged, 25 casualties on ships.
The times 41152 27 April: 4 dead and 12 injured onshore, reports Yarmouth attacked first with little damage due to coastal sandbanks catching many of the shells, 40 houses badly damaged, 200 less so,4 dead 12 wounded. Continental German report of 1 cruiser on fire, one destoyer sunk,2 patrol boats sunk (one named King Stephen).
The times 41166 13 May German report of fire on cruiser Penelope, destroyer sunk, cruiser Galatea torpedoed. Wiki seems to have Penelope torpedoed bu UB29 off Norfolk coast on 25 April. Didn't sink.
Then I have 11 killed on Seydlitz, one submarine sunk on either side and one German sub captured. Anyone know the crew sizes for likely casualty/death estimates? Sandpiper (talk) 21:31, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
