Not very NPOV
editThe Marketing section sounds like it was written by a Bojangles' rep trying to sing its praises. Not appropriate in tune for an encyclopedia.Avman89 (talk) 16:05, 3 April 2010 (UTC)
Picture
editSomeone needs to add a picture of the Conover, NC Bojangles. The Conover Bojangles is thought to be the busiest Bojangles in the whole chain and is one of the biggest in size.CFD15JR (talk) 20:25, 22 July 2012 (UTC) That is the first Boj I went to. It was one of the first. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.171.133.172 (talk) 19:25, 31 May 2016 (UTC)

Bojangles' Famous Chicken 'n Biscuits → Bojangles Inc. – Apostrophe has been officially dropped from the company name, which is also considerably shorter.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 20:06, 20 August 2020 (UTC)
- Kinda feeling that Bojangles (restaurant) might be a better option. I know using a legal name is an option per WP:NCCOMP for natural disambiguation, but in this case I don't think "Bojangles Inc." is its actual legal name. Their website uses "Bojangles’ International, LLC." and "Bojangles Restaurants, Inc." in a couple places. Using (restaurant) is WP:CONSISTENT with other franchise chains like Subway (restaurant), and is probably the most WP:RECOGNIZABLE. -- Netoholic @ 21:27, 20 August 2020 (UTC)
- I'll go along with that. I learned Inc. wasn't supposed to be in an article name too late, but that's been fixed in another article.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 21:32, 20 August 2020 (UTC)
- Support Bojangles (restaurant) as a better option. "Restaurant" tremendously adds to recognizability, "Inc." obscures it. The current slogan byline is terrible promotion as a title. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 06:45, 21 August 2020 (UTC)
- Support Bojangles (restaurant) as this is the most easily recognizable title based on the need to disambiguate. As long as I can continue to pronounce it in a faux Spanish accent like the cool kids do. --Jayron32 12:49, 21 August 2020 (UTC)
- Move to Bojangles Restaurants, Inc. per WP:NATURALDISAMBIGUATION. Natural disambiguation is preferable to parenthetical disambiguation. And if their own website uses this as their legal name, that's good enough for me. Rreagan007 (talk) 17:06, 21 August 2020 (UTC)
- However, WP:UCN would caution against using official names where a different name is in common use. No one says "Lets go to Bojangles Restaurant, Inc. for some chicken". --Jayron32 17:30, 21 August 2020 (UTC)
- Support Bojangles (restaurant). We don't generally add suffixes like "Inc". -- Necrothesp (talk) 12:37, 26 August 2020 (UTC)

name
edithasn't the name ever come under fire? it strikes me as borderline racist, a la Sambo's.
beyond which, wouldn't robinson's heirs have claim to trademark on the name? doesn't strike me that i could just go out and start up a business called "Sinatra's", say. 2601:19C:527F:7890:150B:9833:C577:7330 (talk)
- Do you have any evidence that Robinson registered his nickname as a trademark? Do you have have any evidence that his heirs are using that trademark? A trademark which is unused for five years expires. Cullen328 (talk) 07:02, 14 January 2024 (UTC)
- ok, well forget trademark. but in this climate, how does a resto exist named after an uninvolved black guy? i don't think one could get away with naming a place "MLK's" or "Mandela's". esp if the execs/founders are mostly white, as is the case here. 2601:19C:527F:7890:150B:9833:C577:7330 (talk) 07:12, 14 January 2024 (UTC)
- The purpose of the talk page of a Wikipedia article is to discuss corrections or improvements to the article based on what reliable sources say about the topic. Not to speculate about something hypothetical. Unless you can provide coverage in reliable sources about a controversy about this restaurant and racism, then there is nothing further to say. The CEO, by the way, is Jose Armario. Cullen328 (talk) 08:07, 14 January 2024 (UTC)
- Also worth noting is the man made famous by the Jerry Jeff Walker song Mr. Bojangles was white, according to the Washington Post . Cullen328 (talk) 08:23, 14 January 2024 (UTC)
- what song?!
- lol. minor hit about some white guy IN BLACKFACE doing an imitation of the famous black one.
- not sure that helps your case! 2601:19C:527F:7890:150B:9833:C577:7330 (talk) 04:47, 15 January 2024 (UTC)

- and?
- without googling, i'm gonna guess that "jose armario" is no more black than the original founders.
- i'm basically just asking why there isn't a section here talking about the name, like in the sambo's article. i've never been to the chain, but is it all decked out in black paraphernalia? minstrel type theme?
- i just know that if i mention "bojangles" "amos and andy" "steppen fetchit" etc in the real world, someone is gonna call HR on me. 2601:19C:527F:7890:150B:9833:C577:7330 (talk) 04:45, 15 January 2024 (UTC)
