edit"it is useful for capturing screen shots in researching old DOS software"
this is a ridiculous comment! in what way is capturing screenshots useful for researching DOS? and what about the other miriad of virtualisation or emulation tools that can be used to research DOS; is Bochs any better suited? i think not... and who is researching DOS these days? it is hardly the most cutting edge area of research in computer science. there are far better things to say about Bochs, for example it has a powerful internal debugger which is useful for research into current operating systems. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.128.100.78 (talk) 17:11, 2007 November 9 (UTC)
- Not to mention that it is impossible to run AmigaOS or MorphOS under BOCHS, as those are 68k/PPC based, and BOCHS only supports x86. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.176.231.100 (talk) 10:50, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
- To be fair: bochs is a x86 emulator. C.Oezbek (talk) 15:08, 24 October 2009 (UTC)

why I removed a few things
editdunno how else to say it but I removed a couple things that were seemingly arbitrarily in this article (both unsourced, the former being pretty much pointless, and the latter having a pretty poor introductory sentence). meanwhile I should actually sign up to wiki when I'm not on a public network (lol).
worth also mentioning the history section is extremely badly worded but idk how to fix it to something better. 195.194.248.7 (talk) 11:45, 23 September 2019 (UTC)
