Reference added
editA reader contacted Wikimedia (ticket:2016032210023425 ) to suggest a reference to support the sentence He played a role in the 1983 election, at which Labor under Bob Hawke was successful.
I don't have the book, it is available, or partially available at Google books. It doesn't seem to have visible page numbers, but the link goes to a page which seems to support the claim. If someone has more familiarity with the book and disagrees please feel free to replace it with a better source or correct the sentence if it is incorrect.--S Philbrick(Talk) 14:05, 5 June 2016 (UTC)
- One sentence states, "like Tony Eagleton had for Malcolm Fraser, Bob McMullan directed two victorious incumbent campaigns for Bob Hawke."--S Philbrick(Talk) 14:09, 5 June 2016 (UTC)
