Tail coloration & references
editFledgling male kookaburras have tails similar in colour to the females. The blue coloration spreads gradually down the tail during the first year.
I would like to add the word "adult" to the first paragraph's description of tail colour, i.e. blue in adult males. Similarly, in the later description. Skythrops (talk) 22:51, 11 October 2015 (UTC)
Also, Legge is a secondary reference to this work. The original source, referred to in this book, and which refers to the above coloration too, is: Curl, D.A.
