Metrication

edit

I've changed the text describing the origins of the names "No. 15" and "No. 30" to give the full sentance in Imperial units first, followed by Metric. I think this is more appropriate, given that the names come from the Imperial weights, and it reads better as well.

Original: The "15" and "30" designations originated with organic base felt, which weighs 6.8 kilograms (15 lb) or 14 kilograms (30 lb) per square (9.3 square-metre or 100 sq. ft.). Now, they may still colloquially be called 16- or 30- pound felt but are technically called No. 15 or No. 30
New version: The "15" and "30" designations originated with organic base felt weighing 15lb or 30lb per 100 sq. ft. (6.8 kg or 14 kg per 9.3 m2). Now, they may still colloquially be called 15- or 30- pound felt but are technically called No. 15 or No. 30

I've also used the conversion template to convert 100sq ft to metres to ensure accuracy, and corrected what I presume to be a typo "16- or 30- pound" > "15- or 30- pound". Iapetus (talk) 13:37, 7 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
