What is here is a mess. The numbered refs (1-16) are incomplete. After those there is a long list, not numbered, alphabetical, and in all likelihood copied from another source. Some of these are duplicates of the initial 1-16.David notMD (talk) 15:53, 7 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Reference 16 to biotin deficiency in pregnancy is inaccurate. There is no mention of biotin levels in pregnant patients in the cited publication . Egg whites leading to biotin deficiency

There is no source supporting the assertion that consuming raw egg whites can lead to a biotin deficiency. If it is true that avidin binds to biotin and raw egg whites contain a great amount of avidin, then it could be logical to think that consuming raw egg whites could lead to a deficiency in biotin. However, there is no evidence cited in this article to support that assertion. Without specific evidence, this is not an appropriate point to make in this article.
