Post-Prison Updates

edit

Now that Billy is out of prison I have made a few updates to the page that have all been deleted, and I don't understand why. First, Billy recently held a celebrity vintage motorcycle race at Daytona Bike Week, so I'd included that, along with 3 different sources, including American Iron Magazine (http://www.aimag.com/brittney-olsen-wins-first-ever-sons-of-speed-boardtrack-race/). Second, I'd added a photo I took myself in 2006; it was deleted before I could even finish saving the caption (I got a save conflict). Third, I'd argue that Billy is better known for his TV appearances than his accident, so I'd added a reference to Discovery in the first sentence. Why are these changes being deleted almost as soon as I can save them, citing no evidence, when I'm citing multiple sources? [[User:Krystynlo |-- Kristen]

You copied the photo from instagram. You copy-pasted text from Cyril Huze. Your edits from 2009 and 2007 were also copy-pastes from websites with copyright notices. It's easy to check where you are copying from. Everyone can see it was published by someone else on a date before you copied it here. If you keep violating others copyright, I expect an administrator will block you from editing. Don't copy. Write original text. --Dennis Bratland (talk) 07:02, 7 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

I'm about 3-4 edits in when I discovered that this whole article was actually a copyvio of this. I think I've cleaned it up enough that it isn't, but would appreciate other inputs. Wikibofh 00:07, 5 May 2005 (UTC)Reply

Crash

edit

It seems as though he was in a wreck recently. [23] It might be a good idea to wait a little bit to give it time to pan out... Ben 21:15, 5 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Lane has yet to be charged with any violations in his Sept.5, 2006 accident.

The "crash" portion of this article needs to be corrected.

1.) The date of the incident was actualy September 4, 2006

2.) The pickup that he was driving was owned by DaimlerChrysler Corporation

3.) The article that reference 4 refers to is no longer available. Also the sentence should include the charge of DUI Manslaughter. [24] This article could be used in place of the expired article that is referenced.

4.) This article [25] goes into greater detail of the crash and pending civil suit.

Mike Odom doesn't seem to cite his sources too well... Thanks for pointing out the bad link. I'll move it to source-needed. But I don't think that substituting with Mike Odom's blog pages is the way to go... -- Ben 01:33, 16 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

The first 4 reference links have expired. Perhaps other sources could be found. --Dp67 | QSO | Sandbox | UBX's 16:14, 9 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Choppersinc.jpg

edit

Image:Choppersinc.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
