History section in body
BCprezoffice keeps putting the history section towards the bottom of the article, but I honestly think it should go as the first section under the lead section. As far as I know of, the history section in most education articles is the first section, and so to be consistent, it should be the first one here too. Thoughts? - I have to agree with Corky, although I'd listen to rationale for placing it somewhere else...--Paul McDonald (talk) 19:14, 3 November 2014 (UTC)
Mission and Values section
I am against the addition of the Mission and Values section because I don't Wikipedia is the right place for it. According to WP:MISSION, it says they rarely tell us anything useful and do not help establish the notability of the company or organization. Here are some problems listed at the page: (taken directly from WP:MISSION)
- Even though mission statements are verifiable, they are written by the company itself, which makes them a primary source.
- They contain boastful words and puffed-up, flowery language.
- They contain vague unsubstantiated claims such as We are the industry leaders in commitment to <insert industry here> excellence.
- They focus on the speculation about the future of the company: becoming the industry leader, or the top producer, or the most reliable manufacturer.
- They are promotional in both tone and purpose.
- They are not usually verifiable in third party sources
I just don't see how this should be in the article, as it fails WP:MISSION in my opinion. I'd be willing to discuss it to see whether it should stay or not. Corkythehornetfan (Talk) 19:09, 10 November 2014 (UTC)
- IF it belongs in the article, it does not belong at the top. I agree that it is coming across in violation of WP:POV and is borderline WP:ADV. Wikipedia is not a free web hosting server. However, the mission and values may be worthwhile to include if there is a reason. But just listing them is not the reason.--Paul McDonald (talk) 19:20, 10 November 2014 (UTC)
- I just did some major cleanup/purging of this article. I moved the history section back to the stop and deleted the mission section. BCprezoffice, per user name and clear admission in edit summary, is on a marketing mission here. Jweiss11 (talk) 12:26, 11 November 2014 (UTC)

Alumni and faculty
Not sure if Kent Kessinger should be on the list or not. I guess it wouldn't hurt... but I'm definitely sure that Ted Kessinger belongs on the list! Thoughts?--Paul McDonald (talk) 15:45, 11 November 2014 (UTC)
- I would include him. He meets WP:BIO and has an article. If someone disagrees with the addition of Kent, then we can always add sources to back it up. Corkythehornetfan (Talk) 18:18, 11 November 2014 (UTC)
