Suspect information

edit

I see some speeds listed in MPH, MPH is considered archaic in aviation. Aviation has been standardized on knots and KPH since at least the mid 1970s when the FAA changed requirements for operating handbook data and cockpit instrumentation in general aviation aircraft. I haven't made an edit as I don't know if the use of "mph" is a typo mistake or if it is just inconsistent use of units.

Vicki Cruse

edit

In the EAA Chapter 96 newsletter indeed Vicki Cruse is mentioned as a speaker at a meeting, but no reference to her involvement with the Berkut is made there. Could anybody provide another source?

In general, I think this article is poorly referenced. --Antheii (talk) 12:44, 24 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Steve Drybread

edit

The name "Steve Drybread" is mentioned in the article in two accidents involving Berkut aircraft, but the NTSB Aviation Accident Database makes no mention of "Drybread" anywhere, either as a builder or a pilot. The current database covers all accidents and incidents from 1982-on, spanning the entire life of the Berkut design. The sole accident listing for N827CM shows it to have been a "Schutte Ms. Ryan Special", some type of canard aircraft. There is a page at Aviation-Safety.net that describes the accident, although the NTSB link at the bottom no longer works due to the NTSB database having been restructured. — Quicksilver (Hydrargyrum)T @ 20:11, 27 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

The NTSB link (12) does work and lists "Operator: Steven C. Drybread" Federer20201 (talk) 03:13, 26 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
