from Virginia but became priest of diocese of Wilmington?

edit

How did that happen? He was from Virginia but NOT from the Eastern Shore (counties of Accomack and Northampton). THAT part of Virginia did become part of the Diocese of Wilmington in 1868 because of the Chesapeake Bay separating it from the rest of Virginia, but in 1974 was given back to the Diocese of Richmond. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 167.102.56.186 (talk) 18:47, 22 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
