editI've expanded this article quite a lot now. There's plenty more that could be done but I think it's beyond Stub Class now in the relevant wikiproject quality ratings..... could this be reclassified?
Translation of name
editThis article says Beinn Laomainn means 'Beacon Mountain', but Loch Lomond says that Loch Laomainn means 'Lake of the Elms', with a cite to a book called Elm. This seems to be supported by Google Translate, which gives us 'lòchrain' for 'beacons' and 'leamhain' for 'elm'; I take the latter to be a variant spelling of laomainn. So, whence "beacon"?
