edit

There is a substantial number of reversions to this article and I was asked to weigh in. (Frankly, given the number of reversions that have already occurred, I expected a discussion to already be underway, but anyway...) I haven't had time to dive in very deeply, and I am not sure if or when I will. But this caught my attention: The Soldier's Burden (and for that matter the entire Kaiser's Cross website) is a WP:SPS. It's obviously someone's labor of love but I'm not sure it's a WP:RS. But starting with the first citation, the word "pyrrhic" does not appear in the text, and so characterizing a victory as "pyrrhic" comes of as a Wikipedian's interpretation, in other words it brings up a WP:NOR/WP:SYNTH issue. (The source actually describes the outcome as "inconclusive in that the he was not killed or captured and neither side received a devastating blow in battle" which does not sound like a victory for anyone, pyrrhic or not). That version of this article also copied text directly from the source; it was one sentence but it's still not allowed (WP:COPYVIO). My $0.02. -- Gyrofrog (talk) 22:22, 17 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Alright then I'll remove the self published source. However, one of the sources cited[1] states that it was a pyrrhic victory for the Mullah. Socialwave597 (talk) 15:23, 19 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
