Air Base?

edit

This article states: "Renamed Bartow Air Base, the installation was a USAF primary flight training facility..." USAF bases supporting flight operations are generally designated Air Force Bases (AFB) on U.S. territory while bases in foreign countries are designated Air Bases (AB). Thus, suspect that Bartow AB was actually officially designated Bartow AFB, although certainly colloquially it might have been referred to even at the time as an Air Base. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:801:300:7520:DD17:49B8:C3:2547 (talk) 13:27, 24 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
