I added those two tags because while the information about the pubs and the services may be interesting, this is an encyclopedia and as such needs to be rewritten and rearranged. I hope to make the article in the same style as Brigg's entry, which I think I may do right now... --Perks 22:18, 19 May 2006 (UTC)
Also, there's some things about the railway that could be merged into Barnetby railway station. --Perks 22:21, 19 May 2006 (UTC)
Moved from article
editI've removed this section
- Post Office
- "The Post Office in Barnetby is officially the worst run Post Office in Britain. According to The Times Newspaper (written on 14/03/2010). The Post Office is run by Mr and Mrs <name removed>, who have denied to comment since the release of the poll. They have one son, called <name removed>, aged 17."
from the main page as it contains uncited and potentially libellous comment on named individuals. I can't really tell whether it's intended as vandalism or misplaced good faith but whatever, it's not appropriate. Draggleduck (talk) 13:34, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
The Post Office in Barnetby is now in a totally different place, run by totally different people. Should this whole section be removed from Talk? I know of several post office changes in various places: is there a recommended way of dealing with them? 31.125.100.211 (talk) 11:52, 21 January 2022 (UTC)
Public Transport info
editI don't think any of the info on bus and train services is current, but the Covid pandemic makes it hard to find reliable sources for the changes. Temporary timetables for the buses are available from Hornsby Transport, which only show a reduced weekday service. The "Humber Flyer" service between Grimsby and Hull is provided by Stagecoach East Midlands and operates on a totally different temporary route. The Saturday bus service mentioned may have been permanently closed. Sources such as Google Maps do show some bus stops but I doubt they're reliable. Partly this is just living in Barnetby, so not a valid source for Wikipedia. I hope somebody has better luck finding Wikipedia-ussable information. 31.125.100.211 (talk) 11:44, 21 January 2022 (UTC)
