Hey, I'll be reviewing this article against the good article criteria. I'm aiming to get this done within the next couple of days. Keep watch for comments and suggestions from me, and feel free to contact me on my talk page if you have any questions. Cheers ‍ Relativity 00:54, 19 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Governor Sheng: Are you active enough to address the concerns I put here? Relativity ⚡️ 00:17, 9 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
With no signs of activity from the nominator, this one can probably be closed. —Ganesha811 (talk) 15:54, 14 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

1. Well-written:
1a. the prose is clear, concise, and understandable to an appropriately broad audience; spelling and grammar are correct.
  • Until 1945, the village was administratively part of the Srez of Livno

-in the article Srez, the word "srez" is lowercase and italicized. Should this be corrected in the lead?

  • The village was populated by mostly ethnic Serbs with a Croat minority.- link "Serbs" and "Croat"
  • The main economic activity was husbandry.— this is referring to Animal husbandry, correct? If so, reword to "The main economic activity was animal husbandry". If not, specify what "husbandry" since this is confusing.
  • declined due to economic emigration— link "economic emigration"
  • before the Bosnian War outbreak in 1992— reword to "before the outbreak of the Bosnian War in 1992"
  • In June 1941, some Baljci residents were arrested and tortured by the Ustaše.— does the source say why? If so, can you specify that?
  • three residents were shot dead in individual shootings by the Ustaše or the occupying Italian forces.— same sort of thing, does the source say why?
  • farmers seldom joined the Communist Party— they seldom joined in general? Or just in Baljci?
  • population started to leave the village for— reword to "the population started to decline for"
  • According to the 1991 census— move the rest of the paragraph from this line to the next paragraph
  • south of the Kupreško Polje and north of the Šujičko Polje.— since "Kupreško Polje" and "Šujičko Polje" are redlinked, is it possible to get a small explanation here what those are?
1b. it complies with the Manual of Style guidelines for lead sections, layout, words to watch, fiction, and list incorporation. Problems with layout: Templates relating to English variety and date format go after hatnotes. Currently, in this article, the engvar template is before the hatnote. This needs correcting. Can we also get more categories in here?
2. Verifiable with no original research:
2a. it contains a list of all references (sources of information), presented in accordance with the layout style guideline. Titled "Footnotes" and "Bibliography"
2b. reliable sources are cited inline. All content that could reasonably be challenged, except for plot summaries and that which summarizes cited content elsewhere in the article, must be cited no later than the end of the paragraph (or line if the content is not in prose). I don't know about a lot of these since I cannot read Serbo-Croatian. Question: in the article, it is stated that There is one sheep farm, reported in 2021. However, according to the Google Translated news article, it is sourced to an interview, which does talk about one farm in Baljci. I think that this should be reworded to "There is one reported sheep farm as of 2021", or something like that. Also, the Općina Tomislavgrad 2015 news article links to a "404 Page Not Found" page— can you see if there's an archived version? The rest of the sources I could access looked good, and I'll have to WP:AGF on the offline ones.
2c. it contains no original research.
2d. it contains no copyright violations or plagiarism. Ran it through Earwig's, and it's coming out to be 15.3%, and a comparison of the sources shows that there's no copyright violations in there. Good work.
3. Broad in its coverage:
3a. it addresses the main aspects of the topic. In the demographics section, there only is a table. Is there any more information about other demographics that might be important to include?
3b. it stays focused on the topic without going into unnecessary detail (see summary style).
  4. Neutral: it represents viewpoints fairly and without editorial bias, giving due weight to each.
  5. Stable: it does not change significantly from day to day because of an ongoing edit war or content dispute. Very stable
6. Illustrated, if possible, by media such as images, video, or audio:
6a. media are tagged with their copyright statuses, and valid non-free use rationales are provided for non-free content. I was looking for other images on Commons to add to the article since it consists of just a map as far as visual representation, but couldn't find any.
6b. media are relevant to the topic, and have suitable captions.
  7. Overall assessment. Comments need to be addressed before I can pass this. Sorry for the huge wait!

Misc Comments

edit
  • One thing that jumps out to me is the short description for this article. It's a bit long. Is there a way to shorten it?
