The result of the move request was: move to Aviation Heritage Museum (Western Australia) Armbrust The Homunculus 12:47, 30 October 2013 (UTC)
Aviation Heritage Museum of Western Australia → Aviation Heritage Museum – According to their web site, it is the "Aviation Heritage Museum", not the "Aviation Heritage Museum of Western Australia" Mitch Ames (talk) 13:28, 23 October 2013 (UTC)
- Support I created the article and I have no objection to the proposed move. Dolphin (t) 22:02, 23 October 2013 (UTC)
- Problem is that the official name is generic - there are lots of such names around the world. We need something in the article title to tell users which museum this is and where. Also - the article title does not have to be identical to the name of the subject. So how about Aviation Heritage Museum (Western Australia) ? Rcbutcher (talk) 22:40, 23 October 2013 (UTC)
- Support moving to Aviation Heritage Museum (Western Australia), as there are already articles on the Alaska Aviation Heritage Museum and Western New Mexico Aviation Heritage Museum. Aviation Heritage Museum should be a disambiguation page listing these three. - WPGA2345 - ☛ 19:38, 24 October 2013 (UTC)
- Support move to Aviation Heritage Museum (Western Australia) per above. "Aviation Heritage Museum" is a bit too generic by itself. IgnorantArmies 07:29, 25 October 2013 (UTC)
- (As initial proposer) I agree that Aviation Heritage Museum (Western Australia) would be a better name (per WP:NATURAL's "Parenthetical disambiguation"), and that Aviation Heritage Museum (which is currently a redirect to Aviation Heritage Museum of Western Australia) should become a disambiguation page listing Aviation Heritage Museum (Western Australia), Alaska Aviation Heritage Museum, Western New Mexico Aviation Heritage Museum. Mitch Ames (talk) 14:38, 25 October 2013 (UTC)
- I did convert the redirect to a dab page. Not all of the incoming links from articles are for the Australia one. Vegaswikian (talk) 22:54, 26 October 2013 (UTC)
- Note that (as of the time of this post) Talk:Aviation Heritage Museum still redirects to Talk:Aviation Heritage Museum of Western Australia. (While we appear to have consensus, it might have been prudent to wait for this move discussion to close before changing Aviation Heritage Museum.) Mitch Ames (talk) 02:10, 27 October 2013 (UTC)
