Hello Dominic Sheridan. This seems like a good topic for a WP-article, but from the WP-perspective it needs improvement.

Question: "To be considered as a member of the Australian Great War Poetry Canon, there are some strict requirements that the poet must fulfil first." Does this refer to the criteria decided by the author of this website?. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 12:54, 13 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hi Gråbergs Gråa Sång. Yes it does, and I am the author of the website. There is no other criteria available and while this criteria is strict, it is obvious. Dominic Sheridan (talk) 00:20, 17 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

The above is currently a little moot, but the guidance at Wikipedia:Expert editors could be helpful for you. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 15:38, 13 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

list?

This article might be better off as a list of Australian World War I poets. Theroadislong (talk) 15:04, 13 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Could be. It could also be a section at War poet. Another thing is that refs in this article should be (best) WP:RS about Australian World War I poetry, or (second best), WP:RS about Australian World War I poets. What we have now seems to be refs to the works of the poets, and that is generally not what we want, we need a good source calling them a war poet or something similar. Perhaps the article's creator will comment. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 15:15, 13 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
Hi Gråbergs Gråa Sång. The references used prove that they are Australian war poets. There is also next to no secondary source material on these poets, which is part of the reason I decided to add something to Wikipedia. I have just finished writing a Doctorate on these poets and can only recommend referring to my web page: https://dpgsheridan.wixsite.com/agwp The criteria set down for their inclusion was created by me, as there is no other standard put forward anywhere. The criteria, while strict, is rather obvious though. Dominic Sheridan (talk) 21:23, 16 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
[1] could be a useful source, I'm not sure. WP:SCHOLARSHIP argues caution. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 15:35, 13 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
Hi Gråbergs Gråa Sång. I am the author of "Walking in the Foot Prints of Australian Great War Poetry" which you are referring to here. Dominic Sheridan (talk) 00:16, 17 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
