After initial creation of this page on 11th March a warning about it being speedily deleted was received on 12th March.

The article has now been changed greatly to provide information about the College and negate the assertion that it is blatant advertising for a company. The changes now build a profile of the organisation and its role rather than promoting its services. More references were also added and I intend to add even more to these.

The College is a not-for-profit organisation about which many people would be seeking information. Knowing just exactly what we do and the nature of the organisation is not common knowledge.

A similar organisation, The Royal College of Nursing in the UK, has a current entry in Wikipedia and I think that profiling our organisation is just as worthwhile. The difference is that they are also a union, which this College is not. The Australian Medical Association also has an entry as does the American Psychological Association and many other professional associations. Why should creating an entry for our organisation be seen as any different to these?

The nature of some of their content and arrangement of information may be emulated in this College's entry.

This still reads like an ad lifted from its website. Wikipedia articles need to be sourced from credible third party sources and the organisation's aspirations and spin should play no part in the article.--Grahame (talk) 04:34, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

OK - point taken. Some emotive words removed to make it less open to criticism that spin is playing a part and to make it more factual. Looking at entries for many of the other professional associations, this comment could equally apply to them. Gspooner (talk) 05:14, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
