I don't think these were in Australia You're Standing In It. They certainly were not recurring sketches in the show. I seem to recall The Mormons were in the unrelated The Comedy Company. And wasn't "Fair Cops", a send up of various different police drama series with Gina Riley as a busty blond Lynda Stoner-style sultry female police detective, in Fast Forward? Asa01 Yes, A Brown Like Brian was not recurring. Maybe an additional section with MOst memorable sketches could be added.

The mormans were definatley a recuuring sketch as was Faircops. I think both were taken over to Fast Forward, but definatley not the The Comedy Company. My most memorable moment was when the mormans knock on the door of the caravan catologue collectors with one saying : "It's the Mormans!, and the other replying "Ask them if they know Donnie and Marie!".

The catalogue collectors also first used a term I like to use often now: "Home is where the front door is."

My mother has some, but not all, of the episodes still on VHS.

Okay to add back the Mormans and Faircops now? 134.159.99.9 01:36, 18 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

I have no objections to these being reinstated if the were actually on AYSII (I don't recall Fair Cops being seen on AYSII, which did not feature Gina Riley) but don't call them "memorable" as that breaks the neutral point of view required for wikipedia. Simply state "Other sketches included: " or something like that. Asa01 04:00, 18 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Candida, the bubble-headed fitness instructor, was not from AYSII, but was played by Jean Kitson in The Big Gig in the late 1980s, thus is removed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by DermottBanana (talkcontribs) 04:30, 21 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Format of sketches

edit

I see no reason why the list of recurring sketches can't be in a list format. Changing this to prose would made the section confusing and unreadable. 124.176.134.199 (talk) 23:39, 31 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
