Incident

edit

To add:

  • Most sources say the nationality is Portuguese, however it's not been officially confirmed. Some say he could be Irish or Italian.
  • Someone should find out what was written on the back of the protester (a "religious reference" according to what I've heard) and add it to the article.

NBC just reported that the protester's nationality was Irish and that his name is Cornelius Horan. Allegedly he is a priest or an ex-priest and unaffiliated with any terrorist or political groups. The text on his back said: "Israel fulfillment of prophecy" and in red, "The Bible is true" Draco 18:26, 29 Aug 2004 (UTC)

OK, now we already have three different possible texts on his back:
  • "The Grand Prix Priest. Israel Fulfilment of Prophecy Says The Bible. The Second Coming is Near." [1]
  • "The Grand Prix Priest Israel Fulfillment of Prophecy Says the Bible." [2]
  • "Israel fulfillment of prophecy" "The Bible is true" (NBC)
Which is the right one? Looks like at least the Israel part was one of the sentences.

Distance?

edit

Was this marathon the current set distance (26.2 mi) as perscribed by the IOC or was it reverted so that the athletes could run the original course from Marathon to Athens? JARED(t)22:17, 13 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Move

Just do it! No need to get comments for something this simple. Andrwsc 02:13, 26 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, but please don't do copy-paste moves, and please do get the new name correct. "Men's marathon" rather than "Men's Marathon". -- Jonel | Speak 02:01, 28 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
Sorry about that, I should have known better... Andrwsc 00:01, 30 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
