I honestly don’t see the problem with including this since MTV has even covered on this which was sourced. I mean if we’re not going to include this then why are we including Christina Aguilera singing the song at Etta’s funeral? Joan covered the song for a movie. What’s the difference? All is sourced. @Muhandes: you’re stating from WP:SONGCOVER — “only cover versions/renditions important enough to have gained attention in their own right should be listed“ It clearly gained attention if MTV is writing about it. Is that not enough attention? I mean this can easily be argued and I hope other editors will join in on this discussion.Pillowdelight (talk) 19:35, 6 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
Clearly WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS, so if you feel another rendition should not be listed, remove it. As for Joan Osborne's rendition, all we have is MTV saying In addition to the Osborne song "At Last," which clearly does not suffice as "gained attention", it is simply a listing. --Muhandes (talk) 19:39, 6 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
I don’t think this would be considered a reliable source but in the description it states “ Joan Osborne's rendering of Etta James' erstwhile theme song "At Last" is a classy, blues-y and luxurious update.”[1]Pillowdelight (talk) 19:46, 6 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
