Examples without Citation

edit

Aspect-orientation is not limited to programming since it is useful to identify, analyse, trace and modularise concerns (e.g., PREview) through requirements elicitation, specification and design. Aspects can be multi-dimensional by allowing both functional and non-functional behaviour to cross cut any other concerns, instead of just mapping non-functional concerns to functional requirements.

What is PREview? Citing examples is useless if no futher information is given.

I created a link to PREview, though that doesn't solve the problem described (I am not the writer of the original comment above BTW). Mithunc (talk) 19:11, 31 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Categories

edit

It seems to me that deleting categories without discussion is not in compliance with Wikipedia Policy.

Well, I don't think Wikipedia policy forbids such edits, category itself is not removed, just the article removed from this category. For the reason of category removal, please see [1]: ...This category requires frequent maintenance to avoid becoming too large It should list very few (if any) article pages directly, and should mainly contain sub-categories. Articles in this category should be moved to subcategories where appropriate... The category "Aspect-oriented programming" is already a subcategory of "Software Engineering" (over others subcategories). Andreas Kaufmann 17:22, 27 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
Ah. I got rushed away while I was editing this and didn't have time to research it properly. I would ordinarily cite the policy which would have found your reference. Thanks for the tip. Softtest123 13:03, 28 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
I'll remove Category:Software Engineering from this article.Softtest123 13:22, 28 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

What?

edit

Aspects can be multi-dimensional by allowing both functional and non-functional behaviour to cross cut any other concerns, instead of just mapping non-functional concerns to functional requirements.

The above appears to be non-sense. 72.228.177.92 (talk) 00:10, 19 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Cross cut?

edit

It is not clear what 'cross cut' means in this context. Apparently a metaphor, this has a variety of different meanings in the movie world, mining and carpentry. Can another more commonplace expression be found to explain what is meant? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.137.88.130 (talk) 14:43, 6 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
