I've removed this text:

Thakkar was married to Meera Menak a travel and food writer and in summer of 2014 she filed a divorce case against him. Thakkar claimed his assets were valued at £445,432 while Manek claimed Thakkar was being dishonest and that documents showed a Panamanian foundation was formerly at the helm of the Mara Group structure, a structure of which he was the primary beneficiary. She was a secondary beneficiary, it was claimed. The foundation was dissolved shortly after she issued divorce proceedings in summer 2014, according to her argument in court. [1]

My rationale(s) are as follows:

  1. The lede is supposed to summarize the content of the article, so this detail doesn't belong here.
  2. This is WP:UNDUE in the full context of the article in its current state.
  3. It may be relevant and important as the story develops, and could be treated in some smaller way in the current article I think.
  4. Finally, I think if it is mentioned, we should follow the source in noting "Moor said he “could not take as truth” any of the assertions on either side and ruled there should be a full hearing in which both parties should give evidence next February." - Moor is the judge in the case.

I should add for clarity that I have no conflict of interest here. I met Mr. Thakkar back in January of 2014, and he emailed me with a concern about this article.--Jimbo Wales (talk) 17:32, 6 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

This is factual and such informations of him being big time liar must be published then the current fabricated story unnecessarily glorifying him, while he is 100% Unsuccessful Entrepreneur where his most businesses or announcement are either doesn't of exit or he been forced to gate our from the ventures because of his and his families gridlines and unlawful actions, meeting ethical business practices. 2.50.169.178 (talk) 22:55, 5 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

I added back this text:

Thakkar was married to Meera Menak a travel and food writer and in summer of 2014 she filed a divorce case against him. Thakkar claimed his assets were valued at £445,432 while Manek claimed Thakkar was being dishonest and that documents showed a Panamanian foundation was formerly at the helm of the Mara Group structure, a structure of which he was the primary beneficiary. My rationale(s) are as follows:

  1. The article does cover the issue of his divorce.
  2. The story has developed and even the judge has called him and his family as frauds and calling them liars.
  3. You can search more articles about him in WSJ, Bloomberg and more.
  4. Even with a disclaimer the close affiliation of Jimbo Wales doesn't allow him to delete just because he was contacted by Mr Thakkar directly
  5. I am more than happy if Jimbo Wales includes more better sourced articles about his marriage, the judge judegement claiming his lied and his claim as "Youngest African Billionaire" proven to be a lie by WSJ.
