Peakcock tag

Hi, @Animalparty: Can you please expand on the peacock tag you added the page? It would be helpful to get some exaples of where subjective language has been used without imparting anything of note about the artist's importance. The only thing that twigged for me is 'internationally recognized', but that's factual and supposed by the refs. Thanks! --Dnllnd (talk) 20:43, 17 September 2017 (UTC)

See WP:SUBJECTIVE. The bulk of the article reads like an artist's personal statement: Lots of fluff, little meaning. Even if sources describe her work in subjective or opinionated tones, we cannot present opinions as fact. For examples: "known for exploring the experience of living in the borderland between two different cultures" what does this actually mean? "explore the realities of living at the intersection of two cultures" what does this actually mean? Does her work actually "express an inner longing for balance with the external world," or is this just someone's opinion of her work? Facts would be "she takes pictures of X,Y, and Z, and has won these prizes." Subjective opinions are "she explores", "she expresses...", etc. See other examples and tips at WP:PEACOCK and WP:NPOV. Any art critic can have an opinion, and rather than state them all, it's best to stick to the unarguable facts. A single opinion should not dictate what a person is known for. When noteworthy opinions are to be included (e.g. those of an esteemed art critic or prominent academy), they should be directly attributed ("so and so calls her the best artist in her field").
