Use of non-free File:Arubaanse Voetbal Bond.jpg

edit

File:arubaanse Voetbal Bond.jpg is as a non-free logo because it is still considered to be protected by copyright. Non-free logos are required to satisfy all 10 of the criteria listed in WP:NFCCP as well as not be used in any of the ways listed in WP:NFC#Unacceptable use. One of these unaccpetable uses is No. 17 of WP:NFC#UUI which says: "The logo of a entity used for identification of one of its child entities, when the child entity lacks their own branding. Specific child entity logos remain acceptable." This means that the logo of a parent organization such as the Aruba Football Federation is not to be used in the articles about any of its child entities (i.e., subdivisons, subgroups, etc.) such as the "Aruba national football team". If a logo specific and unique to the team exists then it can be used, but otherwise the same logo should not be used in both articles. This kind of thing has been previously discussed before regarding other similar usages (see Wikipedia:Non-free content review/Archive 55#File:Bhutan FA.png and Wikipedia:Non-free content review/Archive 58#File:Union Internationale des Guides et Scouts d'Europe.svg and the result was that non-free logo should not be used. - Marchjuly (talk) 21:59, 23 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
