I have tried to find out who John Leighton was on the Art Workers Guild list of past masters was. His name is on the awg past masters list, but the only John Leighton I can find who matches is the illustrator who according to all sources I can find died in 1912, several years before the awg made him Master! The Uni of Glasgow Mapping British Sculpture [1] seems to have got the two mixed up, but the Portrait of John Leighton, 1923 (pencil on paper) by Lawson, Francis Wilfred does bear resemblance to the picture on John Leighton (artist) page, though many years apart! Any help would be welcome! Davidstewartharvey (talk) 13:58, 22 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
