Invention/Creation

edit

The beginning of the article claims the drink was created in 1996. The "In Popular Culture" section immediately contradicts this, saying the drink couldn't have been created in 1966 because a reference to it exists in a work from 1947. This needs to be resolved. When, where, how, and by whom was the drink actually created?

Scrubs reference

....this is actually a "straight guy drink"? 68.229.164.101 02:43, 19 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

JD refers to it as a straight guy drink.Dappled Sage 22:32, 18 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

The referring to Scrubs as "the world's greatest sitcom" shouldn't be in an encyclopedia. I can't delete it though on account of totally agreeing.--84.159.108.26 16:41, 16 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

I thought JD ordered it "easy on the tini" not "tiny on the tini" does anyone know which episodes he says "tiny on the tini"? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.150.223.60 (talk) 03:39, 4 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Self-contradiction.

edit

The article lists it as a vodka martini with cider/juice/liqueur in it; the IBA box marks it as a mixture of vodka, schnappes, and a liqueur of some kind. The first one seems much sweeter, and much closer to a spirited apple cider (the kind of thing you'd imagine someone like JD drinking). I don't think these are the same at all. merge

edit

I merged this into the Duo and trio cocktails. An IP address unmerged it, which I reverted. There's no enough encyclopedic information on this drink to de-stub an entire article on it. If the section on Duos and Trios has enough added to it, then it can be re-articled. Philvarner 23:08, 25 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

where is the martini in it?

Man with a Typical Appletini

edit

I think this is ridiculous, that does not need to be in the article there is already a picture and it lengthens it needlessly. 99.249.251.42 (talk) 05:51, 3 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
