Table of contents
editIt was on the right for some reason, and it was messing up the infoboxes which were being pushed way down past the sections they referred to. For now, the table on contents has the word "show". If anyone knows a better solution please suggest it.— Vchimpanzee · talk · contributions · 21:15, 4 June 2012 (UTC)

Corridor lengths
editSome of the listed corridor lengths are at, at a glance, obviously wrong. It's not 13.1 miles from Lucasville, OH to Columbus, OH or 9.4 miles from Jackson to Chillicothe. WV posts mile markers for its ARC Corridors and one a bit south of I-79 is MM 68.5 [1], so the listed mileage for Corridor L isn't right either.
ActivBowser9177 needs to provide citations, and the ones he posted on my talk page aren't sufficient [2] and I question the distance he's listed, but the currently cited table is clearly not accurate. Bitmapped (talk) 02:03, 3 April 2017 (UTC)
- At issue is not that the roads exist, but do they meet both ADHS eligibility and standards. To confirm this we need references that conclude they do, usually by the Appalachian Regional Commission. Our current resource dates from 2013; here is the most current ADHS Status Report, as of September 30, 2016. Reviewing it now, corridor C shows a total length of 71.7 miles, but only 13.1 miles qualify for ADHS funding; corridor L shows a total length of 69.9 miles, but only 60.5 miles qualify for ADHS funding. Our mileages have been based on eligibility, but if we going to switch to corridor, we will likely need to revise most on the page using the most recent reference. Please share opinions. --WashuOtaku (talk) 05:18, 10 April 2017 (UTC)
- I think that the corridors' length needs to be updated. We should just put corridor length. Corridor C is 71.7 miles, and the miles of eligibility is 13.1. I tried experimenting putting both the miles for ADHS funding and corridor length, but I never saw the eligibility length. The way you calculate the corridor length in multiple states is adding the total length of the corridor in each state. If Corridor B is 305.5 miles in eligibility length, it is likely it is not the real length. Adding the total lengths in each state, I calculated a 318-mile corridor. Sure, we can put the eligibility length in the text to make the readers not too confused, but we should change the lengths to corridor length. ActivBowser9177 (talk) 01:43, 9 July 2017 (UTC)
- I agree with using the full mileage of the corridor rather than mileage eligible for ADHS funding. The infoboxes just say length, with no qualification, so I think readers are going to reasonably assume the length shown is the distance between the listed corridor endpoints. Right now, it's not. Changing to corridor length would resolve this issue. Bitmapped (talk) 02:35, 9 July 2017 (UTC)
