I created this article. There have been many books written on the subject of Anglo Marri wars but these books are not popular among the general public. Yes, the article is still in stub position but certainly it will take some time to fully flourished in detail. Article will improved by the contribution of Wikipedians very soon. The article is based on this EB 1911 article, which does not mention "wars". The information was obtained prior to 1911, so statements such as "Since then they have given little trouble" cannot be taken as correct. andy (talk) 20:17, 7 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Unused sources

edit

The following sources (at least one of them dubious) were just dumped at the end of the article but have not been cited for anything at all, so I'm moving them to the talk page until some of them are actually needed for specific citation in the text:

  • Ahmad Yar, Mir (1975). Inside Baluchistan. Karachi: Royal Book Co. Author was the khan of Kalat.
  • Anwar, A. B. (1985). Baluchistan Historical & Political Processes. London: New Century Publications.
  • Baluch, Inayat. Problems of Greater Baluchistan.[full citation needed]
  • Dames, Mansel Longworth (1907). Popular Poetry of the Baluches. London: Royal Asiatic Society.
  • Hughes-Buller, R.; Archer, C.; Jamiat Rai, Rai Sāhib Diwān; et al. (1908). Baluchistān. The Imperial Gazetteer of India, Provincial Series (3rd ed.). Calcutta: Superintendent of Government Printing – via Internet Archive.
  • Khan Baluch, Muhammad Sardar (1979) [1958]. History of Baluch Race and Baluchistan. Quetta: Gosha-e-Adab Publications.
  • Marri, Mohammad (1991). Marri Baloch Jange Mazzahimat [Marri Baloch War of Resistance]. Lahore: Takhleeqat Publications. Author was shah of the Marri Baloch.
  • McConaghey, A.; Jamiat Rai, Rai Sāhib Diwān (1907). Sibi District. Baluchistan District Gazetteer Series. Vol. III. The Times of India Press / Bombay Education Society – via Google Books.

I've cleaned up all the citations from their original poor versions (they were untemplated, inconsistent, full of honorifics inside the citations, missing key details, and in some cases had serious errors (wrong authors, titles, etc.).  — SMcCandlish ¢ 😼  09:38, 21 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

"Unknown"

edit

Various things in the infobox are labeled unknown, but at least for British forces probably are not, and findable in sources not consulted yet (or possibly even in those already cited here), since the British Army kept rather meticulous records.  — SMcCandlish ¢ 😼  09:39, 21 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
