Newton Tony or Newton Toney. Which is the correct spelling? Biscuittin (talk) 20:37, 21 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Cobbs has it down as Newton Tony, as does the quoted letter in the RWM. Quick`s also quotes Newton Tony, though the latter adds it was known as Newton Toney until 1903. I`m reminded of a similar situation at Gunhouse Junc and Gunhouse Wharf (or Gunness as on the OS) up near Scunthorpe.

Incidentally, is that track diagram/map layoput correct ? Is there a chord (Nth to West) as well as the dive under onto the main line ? --JustinSmith (talk) 22:11, 21 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, I don't know. I didn't create the diagram, I copied it from Amesbury railway station. Biscuittin (talk) 16:33, 23 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
