YouTube links
editThis article is one of thousands on Wikipedia that have a link to YouTube in it. Based on the External links policy, most of these should probably be removed. I'm putting this message here, on this talk page, to request the regular editors take a look at the link and make sure it doesn't violate policy. In short: 1. 99% of the time YouTube should not be used as a source. 2. We must not link to material that violates someones copyright. If you are not sure if the link on this article should be removed, feel free to ask me on my talk page and I'll review it personally. Thanks. ---J.S (t|c) 04:32, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:One Eighty.jpg
editImage:One Eighty.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Please adhere to proper grammar: it is "... is an easy way to 'ensure' - not 'insure' (insure is for insurance; ensure is "to make certain that something occurs;" i.e., "We would like to ensure that we maintain copyright compliance" vs. "We would like to insure the previously-discussed real estate.") —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.83.56.110 (talk) 15:52, 24 February 2011 (UTC)
Ponderously awful writing
editI realize nobody on earth cares about this band, but man oh man is this a crappily-written entry. It read like it was taken directly off of some PR press release and passed twice through Babelfish. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.132.24.179 (talk) 05:15, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
Poorly written, showing a non-objective viewpoint
editThis article reads as if written by a fan, not someone chronicling the facts. The word choice is painful, relying on a poorly conceived use of alliteration to make points that aren't obvious to the reader. Example (emphases mine): "The band is as comfortable with ballads as they are with driving rock and roll. They can be meaningful or mischievous; however, the music is continuously copious and the harmonies are magnificently intermingled." I do not know enough about this band to make edits, but suggest that this entry be included in those where the writing needs to be improved. Kebnabi (talk) 19:09, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
Dead links
editAs of 11-Jan-2008, the links to two references are dead. (The Preston and Sonboleh references). Can anyone update these? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wxm29 (talk • contribs) 18:03, 11 January 2009 (UTC)

External link(s) suggestion
editAs an editor at Crawdaddy!, and to comply with COI guidelines, I am not posting the link to these two articles by soundman Dinky Dawson about working for Ambrosia on their 1978 tour. However, I would like to recommend them on their merits, and hope that an editor will find the time to examine the articles and—if he or she sees fit—post them to the external links section on this page. I appreciate your time. Crawdaddy! [1] [2]

This article is awful!!
editThis is one of the worst articles I have ever read on wikipedia. Not only does it sound like a fan page, after the first paragraph, it reads "according to Preston" who in the world is Preston? since the opening paragraph doesn't contain the band members names you have to go the middle of the article to find out who "Preston" is. There are also cite tags everywhere, and rightly so. There are no souces for anything and it reads like pr fluff. I am going to redo the article when I can get on my pc, I'm on a iPod now so I can't do anything but I will redo it asap.--99.177.250.140 (talk) 21:09, 20 March 2010 (UTC)
I am pleased to say the article reads fine now. Mucho gracias for your ^^^ efforts and everyone else who helped transform a fan-boy's mess into a respectable article. SkibbingtonVonSkubber (talk) 17:14, 28 September 2015 (UTC)
Please put more regarding the "Kurt Vonnegut" connection
editYou have mention of "Cat's Cradle," but you never mention the letter that Kurt wrote to the band, praising the song "Nice, Nice, Very Nice," and I'm not sure of the entire connection; but I do know that the song was inspired by KV's "Cat's Cradle;" and the band gave KV the credit on the song as "Composer;" the letter of praise Kurt wrote actually was included in the CD slip cover for the CD "Ambrosia Anthology." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.83.56.110 (talk) 15:57, 24 February 2011 (UTC)

Ambrosia 180 Album
editI am Robert (Omaha) Toth, Technician on 180. You have the facts of the Album name incorrect.
After 180 was recorded, the band was at Tomas Limousine, where they rehearsed. Joe asked "Omaha we are looking for a name for the album, any ideas":My reply was: "I would call it 180 as it is, 180 degrees away from your past music", the band liked it. Had nothing to do with the date of recording. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ratdoctor53 (talk • contribs) 13:17, 3 January 2018 (UTC)
