edit"Allington Castle is the ancestral home of the Wyatt family. It is built on land given to Admiral Guyott, who served under William the Conqueror at the Battle of Hastings in 1066. The Castle was under private ownership of the Wyatt family well into the modern era. It was sold to a private family and is now the home of a religious order of monks. It was the home of Sir Thomas Wyatt."
Got a source for that? Doesnt agree with what I'm reading at all. --LiamE 23:00, 21 February 2006 (UTC)
"Allington Castle was bought in 1720 by Sir Robert Marsham, the 2nd Baron Romney" In 1720 The 2nd Baron Romney was 8 years old. His father was alive aged 35 so it's far more probable that he bought it. I have given up correcting Wikipedia articles as apparently secondary sources are SO much more accurate - saracasm intended — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.102.117.235 (talk) 20:39, 21 May 2018 (UTC)

editPerhaps it should be mentioned that it is a popular filming location. It appears as "Castle De'Ath" in an episode of "The Avengers". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.137.180.250 (talk) 20:47, 11 December 2015 (UTC)
