The result of the proposal was move back to All Caps (song).--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 23:05, 30 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

ALLCAPS (song)ALL CAPS (song) — Yesterday I successfully corrected a number of improperly capitalized article titles via "move". Today when I tried to address the stylization for a song, ALL CAPS by MF Doom, I was met with a "The page could not be moved" message. That's strange, because I had no issue altering case yesterday. For some reason Wikipedia did mind the redundant (but not actually) alteration today. I foolishly attempted a workaround by creating ALLCAPS with the idea I'd just change it to the final title in a second move, but please look at what happened. We just need to get rid of the page I made and finish with the correct stylization. Pixel Eater (talk) 01:17, 24 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Also, if someone could explain to me why attempting to rename the page resulted in the whole "this page already exists" issue, it would be most educational. Pixel Eater (talk) 01:21, 24 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
Actually what you did was move to a title that goes against two established guidelines the WP:MOSTM and WP:CAPS.--76.66.180.54 (talk) 02:39, 24 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
I see. It seems as though song titles should retain stylization, especially considering endless potential for unique titles such as "SonDEremawe". If SonDEremawe were noteworthy to the point of having its own article, would it or stranger titles still be forced to conform? It seems like clicking on the title from the track list then arriving at a differently named page is counter intuitive, even with all-important standards in mind. Comment. The reason that you could not move the page is that the target page already existed and has a history. The other pages that you moved probably just had a redirect without any history to it other than its creation. Keith D (talk) 16:35, 24 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
