González/Gonzales
editThe Reference link says Gonzales, which is also a very common variance of the name. —Cantus…☎ 20:20, Apr 20, 2005 (UTC)
- A quick Google test shows a 50/50 chance for any of the two names, slightly leaning towards González. Could the government site have misspelled his name? —Cantus…☎ 20:24, Apr 20, 2005 (UTC)
- Call it a hunch; maybe I'm wrong. Here is a list of the cabinet, with "gonzález" (also, interestingly, calling him "Luis Alberto"). I thought it was suspicious because it was written GONZALES (block caps) on the govt page, but there are so many hits out there with the Gonzales spelling (or Gonzáles, which is odd, too) that I'm beginning to have serious doubts. Shall we just leave off the 2do apellido until matters become clearer? –Hajor 20:40, 20 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Lynching
edit"Palacio maintains he is "not a politician" because he belongs to no political party, and he used this as an excuse to avoid getting lynched by a mob on April 20."
Is this true, I think lynching might be an over exaggeration, if it is true, it needs a citation. --Horses In The Sky 18:12, 23 April 2006 (UTC)
- I removed it as no one had come up with a source.--Jersey Devil 04:14, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
