Alexander Sims (racing driver) → Alexander Sims — I think that racecar driver more commonly known than politician who named Alexander D. Sims, because he is in the first ten pages of Google. Cybervoron (talk) 07:38, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
- Oppose — "in the first ten pages of Google" is not a valid assertion of WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. Please see WP:GOOGLE. Also, I've edited the Alexander Sims page to be an actual disambiguation page. Please see WP:DAB for the guidelines on the use of disambiguation pages. Thanks.

- Support - Regardless of Google, the politician is called Alexander D. Sims rather than Alexander Sims so therefore the racing driver should have Alexander Sims to himself with a disambiguation link to the politician. - mspete93 [talk] 17:45, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
- The middle initial "D." is used in "Alexander D. Sims" as a disambiguator. There are guidelines in place to determine how pages are disambiguated guys. I realize that fandom creates a certain amount of passion, but you've all got to realize what you're on Wikipedia and not some fan site. You have to work with the rest of the encyclopedia.
— V = I * R (talk) 21:30, 23 August 2009 (UTC)- Sorry, my knowledge of 19th century U.S. politics is a bit patchy. I wasn't aware the D was just a disambiguator. If he is commonly referred to as Alexander Sims then I have no problem. - mspete93 [talk] 16:14, 25 August 2009 (UTC)

- Oppose — I am not persuaded that there is any primary topic here. --Una Smith (talk) 05:32, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
