It has been suggested that this article be merged with the article on Bell Boatyard. I do not favour this merger. These are two different sites and two different topics. The Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site is about the Parks Canada museum devoted to Bell's career and inventions. His boatyard is a former Bell business located several kilometers away on his old estate which has a separate history focusing on boatbuilding - most notable for its employment of large numbers of female boatbuilders and production of wartime boats -- as well as supporting Bell's experiments.Letterofmarque (talk) 13:45, 31 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
Disagree with the merger proposal. I concurr with Letterofmarque's reasoning above. The two topics bear little resemblance to each other beyond both being centred on A.G. Bell's life. Further, the Bell Boatyard article is significantly longer, and any merger would leave a lopsided view of the two. HarryZilber (talk) 15:00, 15 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
Consensus over a 3 month period does not support a merger of the two articles. The notice banner will be removed from the articles. HarryZilber (talk) 21:58, 10 July 2014 (UTC)Reply
