Catholic Small
editIs "small catholic seminary" the translation of "klein seminarie"? I would use "catholic 'small seminary'" instead, since the adjective "small" is part of the official name (I think), and not just a description of the seminary. -Michaël 14:54, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
- I thought about that, but the English just didn't flow. Since 'kleine' is both descriptive and nominative, little is lost to the English speaking audience by using the more common phraseology. Bejnar 16:33, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
- Except it's wrong. A "kleinseminarie" is a secondary school for children that will go on to become priests (in the "grootseminarie"). The correct term is minor seminary. -- Michel Vuijlsteke (talk) 15:13, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
GA
editI was looking this over, and I think this article is not even close to current GA standards. The article is too short, not entirely referenced. I hope any editors who have previously edited this article can expand it further and improve the status of the article. Nishkid64 01:02, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
- The appropriate length of an article depends upon the subject. This young man died when he was 23 years old. Please state what is missing from the article. As to referencing, what do you consider a model article in terms of references? Note that almost all published material about him is in Flemish. --Bejnar 02:43, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
- Flemish references can be used in the article. There is no restriction against that. For a GA, I am hoping this article would have at least 10 references, or however many is needed to cover the article throughout. As for the length, I was looking at the article at the Dutch Wikipedia and found that the length was much longer. If the length there is long, why can't it be that long here? I have to go now, but I'll add more comments later. Nishkid64 02:52, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
