3000m

edit

Was the 3000m time recorded using an electronically timed camera at the 3k mark of the Prefontaine Classic? If not, then this is not a legit 3000m time. Also, if it was recorded properly, I don't think it's appropriate to list a "place" for that race, since the race wasn't over yet. Runshan (talk) 02:13, 26 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Race Dates

edit

Could somebody please fill in the question marks (and provide a link to the results page) for the missing dates in the Race Results section. Thanks. -- Sharpdust 02:39, 4 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

What's with the tables?

edit

I'm not sure I understand the purpose behind the new tables you've created. It's not a list of his best performances, it's not a list of his most recent performances...what it is?

The 1500 meter table doesn't even have his 3:32.xx on there. I thought the previous format was better, where it listed accomplishments and best times each year.

For now I'll leave it, but I'm curious to hear what these tables are supposed to represent.

The way it is now chronicles his progression in each event through each year. It presents the information in a much organized manner. I never got around to adding all the additional races (they are commented in the source file). The 1500, however is now in. And also, the other version was a copy/paste straight from the USATF website. Sharpdust 21:44, 28 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Olympic 1500 Meters - Final

edit

The bio box lists participation in the 2004 Olympic 1500 meter final, but I can't find him in the field.Everiverever (talk) 17:51, 8 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

You are quite right, Webb didn't reach the 2004 Olympic 1500 m final. He finished 9th in his series. The bio box result will be removed. Thanks for your remark. Regards, Piet.Wijker (talk) 18:23, 8 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Confusing

edit

In the second paragraph, we have " Webb's record was surpassed fifteen years later by Andrew Hunter from Loudoun Valley High School in Virginia with a time of 3:58.25 set on the same track. Four months later, at the age of 18 years, 4 months, and 14 days, on May 27, 2001 at the Prefontaine Classic,...." The insertion of the sentence about Hunter makes it seem that after fifteen years and four months, he improved on a time he set as a three or four year old.Kdammers (talk) 09:23, 8 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
