Deletion

edit

I've deleted the following book from the Locke bibliography: Frederick Douglass, A Biography of Anti-Slavery (1935)

Though I've been able to find a few mentions of this on the web, for the most part, they all seem to be copies of the wikipedia entry. I've checked OCLC and the Library of Congress, and neither of them seem to have anything on it. I can't find any book by that title published by any author, anywhere. I'll be checking the National Union Catalog shortly.cbustapeck 18:47, 3 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

How do people feel about the fact that this article was plagiarized from a current online edition of Encyclopedia Britannica? Haddy Nuff 03:23, 11 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Problem with a bit in the introduction

edit

"He is unofficially called 'The Father of the Harlem Renaissance'.[sic]" How would one be the "official" Father of the Harlem Renaissance. Further, the period should be inside the quotation marks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pickleops (talkcontribs) 23:50, 14 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Only child?

edit

In the body text, Locke is described as his parents' only child. But in n.4, he is described as having a deceased older brother. Cka3n (talk) 03:32, 24 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
