Jerome Pentsky
editCan someone please provide information regarding Jerome Pentsky and his involvement with Popeyes? Especially considering he is a living person, Wikipedia rules dictate that information regarding him must either be verifiable or be removed. Mdlawmba (talk) 00:07, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
Notice: I initiated an "articles for deletion" page regarding Jerome "Pop" Pentsky. Please follow the Pentsky page's link to the deletion discussion if you care to comment. Mdlawmba (talk) 17:21, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
Conflicting Articles
editIf I read the Times-Pic obituary/bio correctly, Al sold his car to help finance his purchase of a donut store from Gil, but the NYTimes obituary/bio states Gil gave him the location as a wedding present for his first marriage. Anyone know the story? I'm assuming both are somewhat true considering he seemed to have started and stopped a dozen businesses early on. Researching this cat almost feels like researching someone from Greek mythology. Mdlawmba (talk) 06:25, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
R.I.P. Al Copeland
editRest in peace to Al Copeland. The prominent entrepreneur from Louisiana will forever be remembered for his restaurant concepts and his repeated donations. --DavidD4scnrt (talk) 06:44, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

editThe image Image:Popeyes2.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. Requested move
edit{{Requested move}} The name needs to be changed since Al Copeland, Jr., his son, is showing he died when people do a google search because this wiki article comes up, not stating it's Al Copeland, Sr. Spdmonk (talk) 17:37, 16 January 2013 (UTC)
I can't find a TALK space on this page, so I can't submit it that way.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Spdmonk (talk • contribs) 17:45, 16 January 2013 (UTC)
Moved edits by Spdmonk on main page to Talk space Mdlawmba (talk) 18:00, 16 January 2013 (UTC)
- That isn't how the relevant Wikipedia guideline works; we only use qualifiers like that when the two people are equally notable or the person is very well known under the name with a qualifier (e.g. Martin Luther King, Jr. We don't have an article on Al Copeland, Jr. and his father is by far the most notable person with this name. A person doing a Google search for "Al Copeland" should expect to get many results about Al Copeland Sr. I've added some information about Al Copeland Sr.'s wives and children to his article, with a mention of his eldest son. However, I'm not going to fix the move request because I know it won't succeed. Graham87 13:31, 17 January 2013 (UTC)
