fyi, whoever Edits this - the Population of agloe Will actually be One until may 29th at Noon.

You may want to read Paper Towns by John Green. The talk page of a wikipedia-like-encyclopedia plays a large role in the plot of the book. It looks like that a nerdfighter, editing as an IP address, added that comment as a tribute to the book. It isn't a big deal.

In the novel Paper Towns, Margo, 18, vanishes in early May and plants various hints to where she may have gone, including the quoted sentence posted on the fictional version of this very page. The eccentric capitalization is hers. (I haven't read far enough to know whether the narrator gets there by noon.)

• Tamfang, John Green is one of the two Vlogbrothers. He's also author of The Fault in Our Stars, so he's a pretty big figure in the world of young adult literature. That his fans copy Margo's post to this talk page so often is to be expected, and I love them for it (although I wish they hadn't created a problem!). Denlah (talk) 02:42, 6 January 2014 (UTC)

Fictitious

I really don't think the "Agloe General Theater" actually exists. The store may even not exist. Google searches for it only turn up John Green and his experiments in creating a fake DJ/musician. I'm deleting that mention. Voxbaryton (talk) 22:14, 23 December 2009 (UTC)

In the author's note of Paper Towns, John Green writes that the Agloe General Store is no longer standing. But, the book was published a while ago, so who knows now.

Removed the bit about the trap being effective

Esso was a gas company that distributed maps made by various companies including General Drafting. According to NPR, Esso indeed "bought that map from Lindberg and Alpers", the General Drafting founders. --NE2 02:50, 19 July 2014 (UTC)
