Aeronautical Telecommunication Network

According to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Aeronautical Communications Panel, the correct name of the ATN is Aeronautical Telecommunication Network (note that the adjective "Telecommunication" is not plural). Although many Americans (of which I am one) freely pluralize adjectives, the British and other sticklers for international English insisted that Telecommunication is an adjective modifying "Network" and should therefore be singular.
