editI took this out:
- So far Rashid has taken a wicket in every innings of the 2007 County Championship season.
Including the match against Worcestershire that finished today,[1] that makes eight innings. Taking a wicket in eight successive innings isn't close to being remarkable. For example, Darren Gough, the first player I looked up, took at least one in more than 20 successive first-class innings at the end of 2003 and first part of 2004. Loganberry (Talk) 14:57, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
- No probs, I just thought it was remarkable because he's an all-rounder, spinner and its his first full season. Joe p15 11:22, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, I do find it quite interesting, but I don't think it can really be considered encyclopedically notable. Now, if he takes a wicket in every innings all season, that would be a different story! Loganberry (Talk) 15:24, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
I removed some small vandalism, but the person removed the template spreadsheet thing (look at the pre-vandalism edits if this is too vague) and the data therein. I don't have the time or the knowledge to re-add this.

editIt says he was born in Bangladesh, but then says he is of Pakistani rather than Bangladeshi heritage! It also says he was the 3rd "Yorkshire born" Asian, when he was born in Bangladesh!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.254.201.36 (talk • contribs) 11:16, 30 June 2015 (UTC---
Yorkshire born Asian
editIs this term really appropriate? He's English and plays for England yet is referred to as an "Asian" in this phrase. The article later says his family moved to the UK in the 1960s, about 20 years before he was born, so that hardly seems accurate.
It also seems an obscure thing to point out in the article that he's "only the third Yorkshire born Asian to play for Yorkshire". A bit like saying someone is only the third Norfolk born Scotsman to play football for Norwich City - i.e. it's difficult to see why this is particularly relevant or noteworthy. Proposed Edit: 2024 Asian Achievers Awards Nomination
editHello,
I’d like to propose adding the following information to Adil Rashid article:
“Rashid was shortlisted in the Sports Personality of the Year category for the Asian Achievers Awards 2024, which will take place in London.”
I have gathered independent source to support this information, which is:
I believe this addition is notable and enhances the article’s coverage of Adil Rashid's achievements. Feedback is welcome to ensure the edit complies with Wikipedia's standards.
Thank you, Vrabara (talk) 13:23, 20 September 2024 (UTC)
