According to this page, this article seems to have numerous factual errors.

1986 sounds like the right date for the Communicator, I seem to remember it being mentioned in the news columns of Acorn User around that time. 1982 is definitely too early: the BBC Micro was barely out at that stage (and Acorn had serious manufacturing and availability difficulties with them back then), let alone the Electron.

Other refs:

  • AcornHistory.
  • This also implies the Communicator was released post 1985.
  • This site has scans of the Communicator user guides which he dates to 1985, 1986.

These points appear to have been addressed in the text now, but said text claims that the machine was sold commercially whereas the picture says it was never released. Shome mishtake here, surely? - Ed. Liam Proven 12:51, 12 May 2006 (UTC)Reply
There's no picture now anyway. --Trevj (talk) 14:51, 9 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Much of this article bears a remarkable similarity to this one: http://www.computinghistory.org.uk/cgi-bin/sitewise.pl?act=det&p=1327 86.143.50.243 (talk) 01:17, 27 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Not much of it now, surely. PaulBoddie (talk) 22:18, 10 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
