Expansion

edit

/me is going to work on improving this article next. :) Insoraktalk 03:42, 12 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

ABE fermentation experienced a great upsurge in use in China for the production of n-butanol over the last few years, but most of it was shuttered following the financial crisis and consequent collapse. Article should be expanded to note this. One of the few remaining producers in Cathay Industrial Biotech, but its main business is no longer ABE fermentation. 206.16.109.32 (talk) 18:28, 9 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

If you have a verifiable source for that, you can insert it yourself. (Wikipedia:Be bold) –Temporal User (Talk) 01:04, 10 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Maybe you should add a wikilink to sugar in the first paragragh.Drowe002 (talk) 02:24, 10 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Bad mistake in the reaction scheme

edit

Hi, I could not help myself but notice that the reaction scheme on this site shows 6 ATP used during glycolysis and 0 ATP generated which of course makes the whole pathway energetically pointless. could someone please correct this?FDDATHOMAS (talk) 16:13, 6 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Revised and had two questions

edit

I liked the article very much and learned a lot from it. I changed some typos and added a few references.

In the second to last paragraph of "Improvement attempts" it says that the company has implemented "this" in an industrial scale. Does the "this" refer to all the processes mentioned before?

In the second to last paragraph of the article, it says that biobutanol can be used as a solvent in many applications. Maybe it could be further elaborated how that is corresponding to the high energy density of the butanol. Also, the word "higher" implicates a comparision to some other solvent - maybe it would be nice to know which ones are commonly used for those applications.

Thanks a lot for the clarification. --Hexapol (talk) 15:04, 17 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Observations and suggestions for improvements

edit

The following observations and suggestions for improvements were collected, following expert review of the article within the Science, Tecnology, Society and Wikipedia course at the Politecnico di Milano, in June 2020.

It would be useful to insert some prices schemes indicating at least one possibility to separate the mixture.
