Dear @إيان: I was trying to tell you what you missed, the definition of the word lexicon that it is the appropriate word, not dictionary. I was explaining in the summary why your allegation was very obviously unfounded. I don't need references explaining to you the difference between both English words, but I did, however.

Second, you don't need to add transliteration for the institution as it is not an ancient, Islamic, or a grammatical topic. Refer to the Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Arabic for more. Thanks, and please be mindful of your allegations. --Mahmudmasri (talk) 01:35, 25 March 2022 (UTC)

The word "dictionary" is the common name used in the reliable sources.

Additionally, the word معجم, defined as follows:

المُعْجَمُ : (العلوم اللغوية) قاموس، كتاب يضمُّ مفرداتٍ لغويَّةً مرتَّبة ترتيبًا معيَّنًا وشرحًا لهذهِ المفردات أو ذكر ما يقابلها بلغة أخرى

aligns with the definition you provided for "dictionary":

a book, optical disc, mobile device, or online lexical resource (such as Dictionary.com) containing a selection of the words of a language, giving information about their meanings, pronunciations, etymologies, inflected forms, derived forms, etc., expressed in either the same or another language

If you want to add a section that goes into detail on the nature of Al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and Al-Mu'jam al-Wasīt and whether they are dictionaries or lexicons, feel free to do so with reliable sources. Otherwise it's wp:or and it will be removed. إيان (talk) 14:45, 25 March 2022 (UTC)

It is your personal preference to maintain the imprecise translation for the book titles, since no source at all gives your English names for the mentioned books! In your same source you wrote in the discussion, many words are given for معجم, including "lexicon".

It seems that you are unfamiliar with how native Arabic speakers use both words, معجم vs. قاموس and you came up with your incompetent interpretation and projected it on me.

You are very insistent, unaware of your wording, and removed the template, without editing out your translation errors, again interpreting its addition according to your desires. I understand why the article has been once deleted, apparently due to bad editing.

Last, you added a transliteration for the article's title when it is totally unneeded and I already wrote to you why: you don't need to add transliteration for the institution as it is not an ancient, Islamic, or a grammatical topic. Refer to the Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Arabic for more.

@إيان: I wish I could help you with some wrong transliterations, better English names, and proper redirects, but I feel discouraged by your behavior:

• قبطية has an initial high vowel, i.e qibṭiyya, not as you wrote Qabtiya
• "Mansur Fahmi" is spelled Mansour Fahmy, in line with how Egyptians commonly spell their names, and there is a French article with this spelling about him.
• "Al-Ahram press" could simply be redirected to the article of the newspaper, Al-Ahram since it is the most prominent piece it publishes, or simply avoid the too many red wikilinks you added.
