Sources for expanding the article
editWe should expand the findings and recommendations of the report. We omit several of the points in The Times report on the day after the report was published:
- "Aberfan disaster Tribunal's report". The Times. 4 August 1967. pp. 4–5. (Subscription or UK public library membership required)
Specifically these sub-articles:
- "Findings and remedies summarized". The Times. 4 August 1967. p. 4. (Subscription or UK public library membership required)
- "Change of laws and an end of ignorance urged". The Times. 4 August 1967. p. 4. (Subscription or UK public library membership required)
In addition to covering Robens resignation offer, the following article covers the repercussions on the officials named in the report:
In fact, of the nine officials named, only two remained in the posts they then occupied. Two had left the board's service and five others were in other posts with the board's organization. The remaining two, the colliery manager, [named], and the unit engineer, [named], should be transferred to other jobs in the industry.
- Warman, Christopher (8 August 1967). "Lord Robens Offers To Resign". The Times. p. 1. (Subscription or UK public library membership required)
We should cover the support for Robens after the tribunal report, particularly from the mining unions, based on these sources:
- Mounter, Julian (5 August 1967). "Welsh Miners Say Ncb Chief Should Stay". The Times. p. 2. (Subscription or UK public library membership required)
- "More urge Lord Robens to stay". The Times. 9 August 1967. p. 2. (Subscription or UK public library membership required)
- "More backing for Lord Robens". The Times. 12 August 1967. p. 2. (Subscription or UK public library membership required)
I may eventually get around to adding these myself, but I wanted to post the references here for others. Verbcatcher (talk) 00:47, 31 October 2016 (UTC)
