Shouldn't it be "A load of old cobbler's" (ie with apostrophe)?

Well, shouldn't it? The article states (no doubt correctly) that the expression is Cockney rhyming slang, derived from "Cobbler's awls", ie with apostrophe. So shouldn't the expression also be so punctuated? 79.97.186.190 (talk) 03:21, 4 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

The photographs show a misunderstanding. They show a shoemaker at work, and shoemaking awls. But cobblers mend shoes, they don't make shoes. The article on Shoemaking explains this.
