Legality
editIs it legal to download any of the episodes? I've been wondering this for awhile.
- Well, the 192 kbps stream is available on www.DI.fm if you pay for a premium account, so I'm assuming it's only legal to get the lower quality streams for free. Now, naturally, piracy occurs all the time, so the 192 kbps streams get leaked pretty fast to torrents and the like, but my senses tell me that's likely illegal. - I've always considered recording public broadcasts as a legal gray area...like VCRs for TV. I don't think anyone is hurt since no money is lost to Armin (with the possible exception of the 320 kbps streams). There's also some foreign stations that broadcast 256 kbps free. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 150.135.245.202 (talk) 04:14, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
'Progression of A State of Trance'
editNot that I want to get into an edit war, but I removed the 'Progression of A State of Trance' section, again. I really don't see what it adds to the article, and it reads like an advertisement.

Compilation series
editAVB001 'A State Of Trance' is not a compilation of A State Of Trance. It was released in 2000, before the show even started (in 2001). 217.21.255.177 10:44, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
When
editI don't see when it's take place. Is it periodically or not?
- Here's a quote from Armin's site: "* Digitally Imported Radio (www.di.fm) every Thursday 2PM US Eastern / 7PM UK / 20:00 Central European Time on the Trance channel." I believe that answers your question :P Sandwiches99 20:17, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
- I think this information should be added to the main article in some way Ibjle (talk) 14:33, 9 February 2009 (UTC)

Addition by 184.36.187.13
editI've reverted the addition by 184.36.187.13 (talk · contribs · WHOIS) ("In addition, many of the more recent shows have been uploaded to and are available on YouTube.com.) because it looks to me to be a little too promotional. We don't normally direct readers off Wikipedia in articles. Callanecc (talk • contribs • logs) 05:16, 16 October 2012 (UTC)
Length of special episodes section
editThe section on special episodes is extremely long, to the point where it may be very difficult to navigate. I'm tagging the section as such. Hopefully, it can either be condensed or made into a more easily navigable format. --Delta1989 (talk/contributions) 22:46, 20 June 2013 (UTC)
Special episodes section splitted in a new page
editMaterial from A State of Trance was split to A State of Trance special events on 2015-01-24. The former page's history now serves to provide attribution for that content in the latter page, and it must not be deleted so long as the latter page exists. Please leave this template in place to link the article histories and preserve this attribution. |
